I Hope You Know How Much I Love You

This poem is dedicated to "those days" - you know them, the ones that never end, the ones where we don't stop until it's 11pm & we're absolutely fried. But dang, do we love our babies regardless!

---------------------------------

I hope you know how much I love you

Even on my worst days

When I’m at my lowest

Triggered at the drop of a crumb

I hope you know how much I love you

When I snap

Or raise my voice

Mama get’s overstimulated sometimes

I hope you know how much I love you

When I say I need a break

Some ‘mom time’

Everyone needs to recharge their own batteries

I hope you know how much I love you

When you get in trouble

I’m sorry I scolded you

I just want to protect you

I hope you know how much I love you

When I push you on the swing

Your blonde hair in the wind

Your smile on your face

I hope you know how much I love you

When we go for our walks

You waving at the neighbors makes me laugh

Your curiosity taking over

I hope you know how much I love you

At the end of the day

When I hold you a little longer

Because of how much I love you
